There are three types of engagement at Facebook: a “like,” a “comment,” and the ultimate, a “share.” Engagement is part of the ranking algorithm at Facebook. The more that people “engage” with your posts the more likely your followers will actually see them in their feeds.

One way to increase engagement at Facebook is to simply ask a question at the end of your post. For example, end your post with the question: “What do you think?” I’ve also used: “Give this a LIKE if you agree!”
